PROFESSIONAL PROJECTS:

TETRA AI in Production of Games, VFX and Animation

My main focus at DAE Research is the TETRA (Technology Transfer) project which focusses on introducing AI (Machine Learning, Neural Networks) into the local Belgian Game Development, VFX and Animation industries.

Motion Capture

During my time at DAE Research, I have endeavored to introduce Motion Capture into both the research projects, as well as the DAE curriculum. As part of this, I’ve organized workshops and iteratively improved our Optitrack setup.

VR Karting Prototype

For a couple of months I worked on a prototype for a VR Karting game. We focussed on creating a stable experience with accurate tracking and intuitive controls.

Natural Language Processing for Games

During my internship at DAE Research in 2019 I created a game where the player controls the game by verbally telling the main character what to do. This was accomplished using a Convolutional Neural Network in Keras-Tensorflow.

Deepfakes and AI Aging

During my time at Research I got the chance to experiment with Deepfakes. I created a showcase in which I aged up Ewan McGreggor to play the part of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the original Star Wars movies,

VR Rowing Exercising Game

During a group project in my final year of DAE in 2019, we created a multiplayer VR rowing experience using physical rowing exercising machines for the Flemish rowing federation.
